Associations

We are also involved in national, state, and local associations including but not limited to: NFSA, NAFED, Western Washington Best Practices Sprinkler Forum, and WAFPA.  We are licensed in Washington State as a business and contractor and have our fire sprinkler contractor license through the Washington State Fire Marshal’s Office with the Washington State Police.  Our employees hold individual certificates from NICET (including multiple employees holding Level III active designations for: Water-Based Systems Layout, Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems, and Fire Alarm System Installation.  Multiple employees hold certification with Washington State Patrol as Certificate of Competency Holders (Levels 1, 2, 3, ITT, and Sprinkler Fitter Journeyman).  We also encourage all individual employee licensing with the UA Star Fire Sprinklerfitting Mastery and ASSE 15010 Water-Based Fire Protection certifications, and additional safety development through OSHA 10 & 30 and other training programs.

Columbia Fire is a signatory union contractor with Local 669 and Local 699 for all fire sprinkler field labor.
